Happy 2021!

Happy New Year!!! How have you guys been doing? I have been busy coming up with my goals for 2021, and I wanted to share the biggest ones with you.

The first goal I have for 2021 is to have a better relationship with God.

This goal is important to me because 2020 has really shaken my faith and mental health. I need to establish a stable foundation in my faith and be able to hear from him especially in a time of craziness. My goal is to increase my prayer life and continue developing a relationship with God.

The second goal I have for 2021 is to manage my finances better.

I saw millions of people unemployed in 2020 and that made me nervous. I promised myself that I would no longer be reckless with my money and be a better manager of it. Usually, until things affect us personally, we do not change so I am going to get ahead of it. My goal is to tighten up my finances, pay down debt, and save like crazy.

The third goal I have for 2021 is to take care of myself.

Mental health was real in 2020, and I took 2 weeks off to get myself together. Not a two-week vacation but a mental health break where I rested and refilled myself up. I wasn’t taking proper care of myself, and my body paid for it dearly by shutting itself down. Thankfully I did not have to go to the hospital, but if I had kept going at the rate I was, I would have. This year, I committed to taking care of myself by eating better, changing my lifestyle (exercise more), and adding more self-care days.

With all that said and done, 2020 was a challenging year. Not a bad year but challenging. I love the fact that it made me slow my life down a appreciate the things I had infront of me so I made it my mission for 2021 to live my life with intention and learn from 2020.

What about you? What are some goals you are working on in 2021?
